I am a new grad. Today I interviewed for a job that has been my long time dream, on the l&d and postpartum unit of a prestigious hospital. They said some things to make me think they want me, but I am trying so hard not to get my hopes up. They asked me if I have any vacations planned this summer that Would need to be worked around. They told me they have even more positions available than they thought. They said they are unable to formally offer jobs, that they contact HR to do so. They said they will be making decisions today or tomorrow and need to get people started right away. Are these signs that I have a shot at being offered a position? Let's face it, I'm going to be crushed if I'm not. Thanks for any input.
It sounds like you have a good chance. However, no matter what promises they made, deals that they struck, or whatever they said to you at the interview...you don't have a job until HR calls with the job offer.
