I had my SGFNS exam in March 2005. They promised to send results in 8-10 weeks. Well, it is more then 11 weeks since I passed my test and the web site keeps showing - "post CP review". How long does it takes to review our credentials. does anyone know when they will send certificates?

Have you passed the English exam that is required for that certificate? You do not receive the certificate with only passing the exam............
The CGFNS Certificate is actually no longer of any benefit to you. In order to work in the US, you must now have a Visa Screen Certificate which requires the full set of English exams., as well as successfully passing either NCLEX or CGFNS, as well.
The Certificate, if you are to get one, is sent out from Philadelphia in 8-10 weeks, then you must allow for the mail which can take a month or more.
Congratulations on passing the exam.............. :balloons:

Yes, I've passed English exams. And I don't need a Visa Screen because I already have a green card. I need the CGFNS certificate to apply to nursing board.
Which state are you trying to get your license for? There are only two that require it, Michigan as well as Illinois. For the rest, you can get initial licnesure in another state and then just endorse.
I will be happy to help you if you can be more specific.........or send it to me in a pm.

I am KoshkaBuba1 from Ukraine living in MI. So did you get your certificate from
CGFNS? Did they make you to take any additional classes before CGFNS? I am in a big trouble- they said to take maternal/infant nursing and phychiatric nursing. I can't find a place where I can take those 2 fricking classes

Hi Suzanne, I more confused now. I went to an agency here in Manila with office in NY. I showed them my credentials ,e.g. Ca license, IELTS result and notice CGFNS/ICHP that they received my credentials and ready for evaluation. All of sudden they ask for my CGFNS certificate. I told them I applied for CaBON and it doean't require CGFNS certificate. The answer I got is although CaBON doesn't require CGFNS certificate but INS will ask you for one during the interview even if you have visa screen on hand. I am very confused now. Is there any cent of thruth on this matter that lady is telling me?
They have no idea of what they are talking about. All you need to have is the Visa Screen Certificate. There is a requirement of CGFNS or NCLEX to get that..........NY doesn't require it either for licensure. If that is what they are telling you now, stay away from them..........they are already getting messed up with the basics, scary if you really need them.

If you do not have theory and clinical hours in those two areas, you will need to make them up. Not just for CGFNS but for licensure by any Board of Nursing in the US.
I am originally from MI and attended nursing school there. Who have you contacted so far?
