Hi I am new here at Arizona Nurses Forum. An agency is trying to recruit me to work for a hospital in Yuma, Arizona. I am no familiar with the place. specially the cost of living. They are offering $22.00/hr with full benefits and differential pay. I am have only 1 year nursing experience and coming from the Philippines. Please guys introduce me Yuma county .

Allow me to give you my insight, since I think we are in the same situations. I seek a consultation with an American lawyer, his adviced with my pregnant wife is to write on the application form I-140 BABY IS ON THE WAY for list of depedents. Second as beneficiary of alien being petition you are given a green card as well as your child/children. In this case you are allow to work. My advice( if you wish to follow) is to forget cgfns and apply to NY BON. This will save you time and money. I didn't take my CGFNS and CA BON granted me my license. But for CA BON to have hard copy( meaning your ID) license you must have SS# which New York doesn't require. Once you passed for NCLEX you must start your visa screen certificate which is good for 5 years. Vermont processing center is the fastest in which NY falls so this will help you get your GC faster than CA. zuriel

Here in the Philippines, all legal fees for dependents are being take care by the employer/agency. But other employers you only have to pay filling fee for your dependent $380.00 each. zuriel

It will be filed in the US. But still I don't have employer since I am still here in Manila. Anyway, I already submitted all requirements for visa screen I am just holding on for sometime just in case they need more documents. Thnaks for your advices. :)

I think this license verification is part of the requirement for visa screen certificate. When I download the application form from ICHP website, 2 came out one for the school( for transcript & other stuffs) and the other one for the agency which issue you your license in our case PRC. They even emailed back an aknowledgement reciept that they receive the 2 forms. If this is new requirement, I don't know. I just follow what they ask.

As long as you have a hard copy of your license in NY, you could apply for reciprocity to any state. You need to pass the local board exam because the ICHP will require your as for credential evaluation a certificate coming from PRC that you pass the local exam. I am did'n notice this the first time that is why I am forced to take my local board event hough I already passed my NCLEX. zuriel :)

Hi Suzanne, I more confused now. I went to an agency here in Manila with office in NY. I showed them my credentials ,e.g. Ca license, IELTS result and notice CGFNS/ICHP that they received my credentials and ready for evaluation. All of sudden they ask for my CGFNS certificate. I told them I applied for CaBON and it doean't require CGFNS certificate. The answer I got is although CaBON doesn't require CGFNS certificate but INS will ask you for one during the interview even if you have visa screen on hand. I am very confused now. Is there any cent of thruth on this matter that lady is telling me?

I recieved confirmation that CA BON recieved my application 2 months after I mailed with the $107 payment. Then after 4 months I recieved another letter stating that I am eligible to seat for NCLEX for CA BON and instructing me to pay additional $200 for the exam.Two days after paying I recieved confirmation of my payment via email and asking me to register at PEARSON VUE for my test date. By the way, the first time I paid the $200 thru check, with my application form, it got lost. I call them and instructed me to pay using credit card. So better to call them if they lost your application/eligility form. I hope this help you. zuriel

After so many months of anxiously waiting, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel (may be July 2005) for end of retrogression. I want you guys for some valuable comments/informations regarding advance parole. Is this for real? I heard alot of stories specially from PIC citizens, that were not able to go back to USA after they avail of themselves with advance parole permit and went home for short vacations. Thanks.
