I guess in my case i think i got lucky, my reading and writing improved by 1 and 2 pts. My friend did the same thing, having the workshop a week before the exam and her score improved as well. Anyway goodluck to your IELTS exams

I took the IELTS workshop a week before my exam and I have to say that it was alright. At least I had an idea of what to expect I'm not sure though if the workshop would really have an effect on your score .I guess it served as my security blanket

hi suzanne! i have a question regarding work experience vs. training coz i went to this seminar and he mentioned that work experience is not so important because unfortunately i guess due to lack of funds nursing practice in my country it can be somewhat different (some practices are sort of obsolete) compared to nx practice in the US then he says that what's more important is getting into training/workshop which will issue a certificate accredited by BONs in the US or is it also equally essential to get a work experience as well?

i hope this is my last question :) i've asked suzanne about this regarding the cgfns exam..... i'm almost done with my credential verification forms... i'll be registering for my local license on aug 10....can i send out the forms and just leave the registration/license number blank and i'll just attach a paper explaining that i'm going to have my license in august or should i wait til i have accomplished the registration?

NY also requires two short classes that can be done on-line, one on Child Abuse, and the other on Infection. Both are available for about $15 each and take only one hour or so. please send me the link where i can take the online classes for child abuse and infection i'm having difficulty looking for one which can be accredited by ny-bon thanks!!!

thanks suzanne and zuriel! actually i'm very interested with NY-BON....i have one question though do I have to pass NCLEX first before sending my visa screen application or I can just send out the three forms(form1, credential verification and visascreen certificate) simultaneously?

sorry if i'm bombarding lots of questions, pls bear with me :) i'm very interested in applying for the NY BON so I've downloaded 3 forms -the Form1, Visascreen certificate and the credentials verification service in the visascreen certificate #17 -regarding English Language Proficiency ....should I take and pass an english language proficiency examination( for example IELTS) before sending the visascreen cerficate forms or can I do that even after sending the application? also in the credentials verification form #11 about Registration and licenses....since it was only recently that I passed our local Nursing board exam and my license will not yet be issued until august....should i wait until august before filing the credential verification forms? should I send all three forms simultaneously or not necessarily? Assuming I've sent all the forms and I'm waiting for the processing.....during this time can I take the NCLEX-RN examination or should I wait for an approval or some sort of a go signal from either NY BON or CGFNS before taking the NCLEX? thanks for all the help :)

I'm from the Philippines and I'm aware that one of the requirements for the CGFNS qualifying exam is our local license/registration certificate....i just passed recently a few weeks ago unfortunately the soonest I can register in our BON is on the 10th of august and that's the deadline for receipt of application materials for the nov 9 CGFNS examination date which i'm trying to target pls advise me on this problem...is there any substitute for the license/registration certificate? would a certification that I passed our local board exam suffice?

hello again! i have another question....in Form 1 # 20 it says there 'If you checked any of the Boxes from B-H, enter your alien registration number or control number issued by the Immigration Naturalization Service' Since I checked letter H how do I acquire for the alien registration number? i tried to check out the http://www.uscis.gov unfortunately i couldn't find how to get an alien reg number thanks!
