Did anyone hear back from RCC yet?

Published

Hi all,

I wanted to see if anyone here applied to Roxbury Community College's Jan 2010 Nursing Program? I applied back in October and am awaiting a decision. Just wanted to see if letters had begun to be dispersed.:redbeathe

Sorry to hear that, am not impressed about the program at all either, I still haven't heard anything and when i call nobody know anything. I just want to know if i got in or not so i can move on with my life. This sucks.

I got the acceptance letter but I expected the letter to provide much more information about the program.

My boyfriend also applied and he hasn't heard back from RCC either. No acceptance nor rejection letter. We visited the school but they're currently on Winter Break...a bit disappointed on how they're running it. =/

What program did he apply to lpn to rn

just got a call from rcc am accepted. :yeah:

Are yo starting with us tonight? 1/12?

No am already an LPN so am starting the day program on 1/13

Great! Well Good Luck. Yesterday was our first day. 3hr lecture and loads of reading to do. Breathe breathe is all I can do to stay calm, oh and read, read. LOL:clown:

i can relate to you. lots of reading exam wed. Well we going to make it. Keep intouch hope to see u some day at school.

haha... only 2 more years, girls! i should probably appreciate my last "normal" semester before nursing more than i do! by the way, elizabeth, i'm so happy for you, i know how bad you wanted this... stay on here! i'm gonna need someone ahead of me whose brain i can pick ;)

Elizabeth- Just came across this thread. Hope you are enjoying the program.. how were your other scores on the TEAS besides the Reading portion? My overall was 80% with 95 reading, 84 math, 74 English and 66 science (which was pretty bad.) I saw that you did well in Reading and our overall score was about the same as mine. My GPA is about a 3.2 (so-so). How competitive is the program? I am applying for January admission, Any help would be great and COngrats on getting in!

So here's my :twocents:. I think you have a good chance in getting in based on your scores. I did not do so hot in science or math either. But your math is pretty good. They also look at pre-req's as well, because once in the program it can be difficult to simultaniously complete with your nursing classes. The program has good and not so good aspects as I am sure all programs do. We do have some great instuctors so it makes it easier. I am mid second semester and it's been a good ride so far, each semester, each exam and each day for that matter..is a step-by-step process. There are so many components to passing a semester (exams, clinicals and labs). But if you work at it and...want it...which is most important...it can be achieved. I wish you lots and lots of luck. Please keep me posted

Thank you. I took that test at another Institution so I was going to take it again at RCC, but since I did really well in the Reading portion I will just stick with this one even though the English (74%) might not help me out. One more question and I will leave you alone lol how many are accepted into the Jan. program? Thank you so much for the info and I will definately keep you posted!
