Did anyone do ATI while in nursing school?

If so, and you have already taken the NCLEX, do you think they prepared you? I passed every single ATI I took the first time and the comprehensive test said I had a "96% chance of passing the NCLEX." For those of you that did ATI, do you feel that it was accurate? Thanks for your time and your responses.

I took the ATI in my last semester and it said that I had a 95% chance of passing....well after graduating I took the Kaplan review and failed the first-time for the NCLEX-RN. So to answer your question - no I don't think that it was accurate.

I didn't really look into the ATI as a guide for my passing the NCLEX. I only took it because our school required that we took if for their records. I knew that I would need to really prepare for the NCLEX that is why I went with Kaplan at first. Passed the second time around with Suzanne's Plan...I only wished I had known about it before graduating. Good Luck to you!

I also took ATI because my school required it to actually finish the nursing school, and It said that I had 91% chance of passing the nclex the first time and I didn't. The second time I studied from kaplan questions trainers and NCSBN website but I failed again, I ran out of time, it stopped at 212. I never took kaplan complete course because it's too expensive. I think ATI is pretty good but I think Suzanne's plan is much better. I just took my NCLEX this morning for the third time and I don't know my result yet, but I am pretty confident with her plan. So, try Suzanne's plan and good luck.

I too had to do ATI because our program required it. I didn't like it all and didn't feel that it helped me on the NCLEX. Most of my classmates did not like ATI as well. Out of a class of 20, about 5 really like ATI for the NCELX.

So I think it's really what works best for you. I have also used Kaplan and Saunders and I'm now hoping that I can use Suzanne's plan. Good luck!

I found out today that I passed my test using Suzanne's plan. Try it because it works!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! :yeah:

I hope to start Suzanne's plan also.

I also had to go through the ATI plan because my school required it. I used it to study for the first time I took the nclex and I failed horribly. I did use some of saunders but mostly focused on ATI. I think it was a waste of time because I don't think the questions are anything like what you get on the real test. I'm going to look into Suzanne's plan or maybe kaplan's, i'm undecided still.

My school didn't have ATI. Instead we had NLN tests that were required. Most of my classmates as well as I failed these tests. My daughter's school instituted ATI after she graduated. She didn't take the NCLEX at the time her class did so now her school is making her do ATI before they will do her paperwork. She has yet to open one of the books or put the CD in her computer.
