Hi guys I have a questions for ya, so for us LPN's that are starting the bridge course, do you guys know if we are able to sign up for the Fall course already or do we have to wait until the end of the semester do to so? I see that allot of people are already signing up to Nursing 210, but wasn't sure if we could sign up as well? Specially those labs....they are getting filled up fast....well the good teachers at least. If any of you guys know, it would be really helpful, thanks.

Got the official acceptance letter for the LPN bridge program! Woohoo!

Hi @maisyLPN, so question, do you know if we are able to sign up for Fall classes for Nursing 210 already? Or do we have to wait until the end of the semester or midterm to do so? Only asking cause I see allot of the labs are getting filled up fast.

I'm not sure. I was wondering this as well. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Has anyone done their Castlebranch drug test yet? I "created an order", but I was given no instruction on where to go and how to get an appointment. Maybe I missed something...

nm, I found the answer to my question. Here it is in case anyone else is in the same boat:

Drug Test

What is the process for a drug test?

Within 24 business hours of your order being placed, CastleBranch will register you to take your test with a lab in your area. We will communicate your registration information to you within your account or via an email. You will be responsible for scheduling your appointment at the designated collection site and providing your registration information at the time of collection.

The collection site will ship your specimen to the lab. A negative test result will report out to you within 3 days from collection. If the test is non-negative it will transmit to a Medical Review Officer (MRO) to review. The MRO will contact you if they need information that would impact the results of your test. You will be contacted via the phone number you entered during order placement. You will also be able to view the Pending MRO” status and the contact information for the MRO within your drug test To-Do List item. Tests that go through an MRO will report out to you within 5-7 days from collection.

For the Nursing 101 class, what options do we have for clinicals and how many hours do we have to do? Is it during the week or weekends optional?

You should see clinical & lab dates & times on the ccc website. They do have limited Saturday clinicals but they do fill up fast. You are required to do 6 hours clinicals and 2 hour labs every week and they have been more "strict" on completing them. If you miss a day you have to make it up either by a make-up date on campus or you write a paper per your clinical instructor. Depending on who you get, you might have to do additional care plans to make up for the hours missed.

Okay, thanks. I thought we had to do an additional day for clinicals. I didn't know it was all banked into the lab schedule that's on the website. Thanks

You are required 3 hours of lecture, 2 hours of lab & 6 hours of clinical. It should all be on the schedule. Our first year was a cluster F&*k but they seem to have things in some order now. Kind of.

Hey everyone,

Where are you seeing the lab and clinical schedules? On the my.ccc.edu website somewhere? Do I just do a class search?

Thank you for any help!

Yes, under class search type in nursing 101 at Malcolm X

Hello, does anyone have an idea of which instructors are best to take classes from for Nurs 101? Thanks
