diagnosis question

Hello there, I really don't know who else to ask. My teachers dont like to answer personal questions and I just cant get to my doc bc of my medical classes.

I know this is not what this forum is normally for but I am at a loss.

Lately I have been sick often. Nearly everytime I eat I need to have tums in my purse bc I often feel sick. 3-4 times a wk I have trouble bc I start to get a bad upset stomach. Also once every wk or every other wk I have a night where I am gaging all night nearly vomiting sometimes I do and sometimes I just cant..um..vomit.

I am also not very regular lately--bm--it is wednesday and i did today but hadnt since sunday.

Something is wrong with me and it is hurting me in school. I spend most nights awake nearly vomiting which hurts me in class while trying to concentrate and most days I am sick to my stomach and hard to read my books.

I dont know what else to do. now I am only in my 1st yr, but from the knowledge I have so far..I would say that since I am now having a bm too often then this is backing up my system. I work in a fast food place while not at school so this means I dont get much fiber. so I should just increase fiber or take a fiber supplement correct? and also add a probiotic meant for digestive systems such as acidophilus, correct? I just bought them today and I am beginning it however today is one of the horrible nites that I cant stop gagging and nearly vomiting. I tried coke syrup and that didnt help me. I also have an infected tooth at the moment for a root canal and I thought that maybe (according to my microbiology class) that this bacteria is causing other effects in my body however I did have some problems before the infection.

I am not sure what else, am I on the right track from what I learned from my classes?

Why cant you go to the doctor? First rule of nursing school, dont diagnose yourself! You will drive yourself nuts with the what if I have ****?

Oh, ok I was just hoping I was on the right track.

Calinurse11-my doc is booked and I just paid for summer sessions of school and have no money. And also, I know not to diagnosis myself lol my doc said im usually right though guess thats a good thing..well kinda 'cept the whole driving myself crazy thing. It was actually a student high up then I am, almost graduating however she doesnt have much experience so I was hoping that maybe I was on the right track.

blackjade- thanks anyway, i understand..and I am new to this site so honestly I forgot about that. Well thanks for reminding me! So just so I know..we can talk about diagnosing patients and such..but if it pertains to us then no. I swear im not trying to sound like sarcastic or anything! I just wanna make sure I do this right-this site is very helpful and I dont want to do anything wrong!

Thanks anyway for your help :)

Even if we could give the kind of advice you're looking for, I'd be very hesitant to do it without being able to assess in person. There are just too many variables to work through. Sorry that you're feeling so horrible.

I know how you feel, doctors are expensive and its hard to get in sometimes, does your school have a clinic? At my school every student was required to pay a student health fee along with our classes, and you would just show up that day and get seen for free, hope you feel better soon

I am sorry we cannot give medical advice on here. I urge you to see your doctor as soon as possible
