do any dfw hospitals offer "weekend option staff" (they work 24hrs (sat/sun) and but get paid for f/t)? i am looking specifically in the plano area, but it is not for sure yet that it will be plano, so any leads would be appreciated.

thanks!:)

I work the weekend option shift at a skilled nursing facility in DFW which is not associated with any major hospital network. I work two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, and my workplace pays me for a 32-hour work week with full benefits under the Baylor Plan. This enables me to have 5 days off in a row.

Baylor in Dallas offers that (not sure about the other Baylor locations). Although you have to work there for at least a year before you are eligible to be TDA (two-day alternative, as they call it there).

OK, actually, I do not want to be weekend option staff myself. I am trying to avoid working Sundays (or at least not every other Sunday) and still be at a hospital and someone suggested looking for a hospital with this feature.

Well, Baylor in Dallas would be your place! Weekend people only work weekends and weekday people only work weekdays. There are lots of Baylors in the DFW metroplex, so you should check to see if the one closest to you operates the same way.
