Desperate to get a job in the San Francisco, Bay Area

Published

Hi all, I'm super discouraged here. Graduated with my BSN last Nov and have yet to get my first job as an RN. I live in San Francisco and the job market here is fierce. Everyone says it's all about networking and who you know, but I just don't know that many people here. I'd love to work in L&D or the NICU, but as a new grad, I'm sure those are likely out. Does anyone have advice on how to land a job without having to offer up my first born to do so? Thanks in advance for any help!

Specializes in NICU.

I am a NICU RN in the valley and will have my one year in Jan. I will be considering the Santa Cruz/Halfmoon Bay area mostly. I am willing to commute into the city if I need to. How is the job market and the pay? How long is the hiring process? Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you
