It seems to me that disired over available is easier to understand. I understand ration and proportions, but get lost in the calculation process. I am I alone? HELP!

I too find desired over available easier to understand. Is there a reason you need to do your calculations in ratio form? If not, stick to desired over available so you don't get confused.

I like the desired over available as well. Though, I use a simplified version of the dimensional analysis for conversions.
I can't listen when my instructor shows how to calculate with other methods cuz I get all confused. So, I just stick with this. :)
