Has anyone else applied to DePaul's MENP program for the Fall 2011 term? If so, has anyone heard back from them?

I also applied to the 2011 Fall MENP program and haven't heard back. I keep asking admissions when they will make their decisions and I receive a different answer each time. The earliest I heard was the first or second week of April and the latest answer I've received was the beginning of May. I also know that they said normally around 200 people apply and they accept around 60 applicants. I'm eagerly waiting to find out as well! Is anyone applying to Rush's GEM program or has applied?

That would be terrible if we have to wait until the beginning of May! From reading threads from past applicants it looks like they've been finding out starting the first week in April, but I suppose if more people are applying it could take a bit longer. Let me know if you hear anything else from them.
Where did you hear they accept people who have not completed all their prereqs at the time of application? I am missing my organic chem but am taking it this summer so it will be completed by May.
I know a Nurse Practitioner who had students from DePaul's MENP program. Some of them were admitted without 1-2 prereqs and told they need to finish it before they start or before graduation. I'm sure that is not always the case, but I guess they have made a few acceptions in the past. I think I will be alright now though because I just signed up for orgo over the summer as well and they just told me to just send my proof of enrollment.
Obviously it would look better if we already had the prereqs done, but if they think were good applicants I don't think it would keep them from accepting us especially since the prereqs will be completed by the time we'd need to start anyways. Are you taking the full orgo or the basic/survey?
Good, that makes me feel a little bit better because when I did say I haven't completed one of the prereqs I was told they do give preference to people who have completed everything. So at least I know they do accept people who have not completed absolutely everything. Thanks for the info!
Well I'm sure they do give them preference since they can see how they've done, but I have definitely heard of people getting in without prereqs so that shouldn't keep you from getting in if you're a strong applicant otherwise.
If people don't mind saying what were their qualifications, gpa, etc.? Is this your first choice school?
This school is definitely my first choice, and the only one I have applied to because of my lack of prerequisites. I changed my mind fairly last minute so although I'm doing really well in the prerequisites so far most of them are still in progress. Went to EIU for 2 years 3.57, finishing up my last 2 year at UIC 3.42. I didn't take the GRE since it wasn't required for over 3.2. How about you?
Yeah, this is the only school I have applied to as well. I'm finishing up my last semester at Wisconsin with gpa 3.7 and I haven't taken the GRE either. My science gpa is lower I know but I'm not sure exactly what it is. I'm hoping for the best!
Did you look into Marquette's program at all, or are you not looking into going the advanced practice route?
I want to stay in Chicago since I'm from the northwest suburbs and also I was thinking about doing that option (like UIC) but I think this is a better route since it gives you time after to work as a nurse in order to pick your specialty. Eventually I want to get my NP though. How about you?
