I recently applied to the MENP program for Fall 2019 and was wondering if anyone else has applied to the RFU location?

Hi Everyone!

I also applied to the Fall 2019 cohort. I don't know the average GPA they accept, but I do know that they normally get 200 students applying for fall with about 80 spots. They have the most applications for the fall program. I am also patiently waiting so let me know if you get in or hear anything back!!

Hi there!

Are those 80 spots for Lincoln Park or RFU?

Hi guys, I'm considering on applying to the RFU campus but I was wondering: does it seem like it is worth the move / apply so late, although NCAS says it is still rolling (as does the site, where it is just trying to fill up seats)? Like is there a stark difference whether you're in LP or RFU?

Hi there!

Yes, DePaul does have rolling admissions. I applied late as well. I was told that the RFU campus often receives fewer applicants so the chance of getting accepted is higher than it would be at LP. Knowing that encouraged me to apply, even though I was late.

As far as LP vs. RFU campus I cannot speak much on the differences. However, I do know that the RFU campus is in a northern suburban area while Lincoln Park is about 20 minutes from Downtown Chicago and the surrounding location has a more urban feel to it. Also, North Chicago has a somewhat lower crime rate than Lincoln Park.

It sounds like you aren't close to the RFU campus. What made you want to apply to the RFU location?

I'm from the East Coast, actually! So I just have no idea how life is like in Chicago/ North Chicago. I'm just inquiring to see if there is a difference in the "quality" of education if that makes sense, since its a DePaul program conducted at a different university's campus. you know?

Hi guys, I applied for Fall admissions at LP. Does anyone know if having pending prerequisites will lower your chance of acceptance? I still need to finish my inorganic chem requirement. Also, I’ve read on past years’ forums that people could usually see their acceptance prior to receiving an admissions email but they had access to the student portal. I’m curious if any of you guys have access to that?

I think you can ask to get a password for the DePaul Gateway and/or Campus Connect, but you should get an email from DePaul letting you know you have a message. I don't think they have the Fall cohort decided yet. If you are finished with Chem this semester it should not be a problem. From what I read previously, your grades matter a lot, so if your other prerequisites look good, it should be ok.

i applied to the RFU location. Does anyone know if I get in, I could transfer to the lincoln park location? Also anyone hear anything back yet? Has there been denials yet? I'm rethinking living with my parents... I'd prefer to live on my own and be in the city.

Hi guys. I emailed my admissions counselor and she said that they won’t start releasing admission emails until 4-6 weeks.

Looks like we’ll be waiting in anticipation for a while longer.

I don't know if you can transfer to another location after being admitted. You should contact an admissions counselor about that. Aspiringcalnurse90 said DePaul will not release acceptance emails for another 4-6 weeks. So, no news yet!

This program is extremely expensive. Tuition alone is $75,970 using the available 2017-18 year tuition rate. Plus, city living can be costly. If you can, I'd definitely suggest staying with family rather than living alone.

Hi, all! I emailed my admissions representative a few days ago, and she actually said that decisions for the Fall 2019 Lincoln Park campus may not come out for another 5-7 weeks!

Just thought I'd share. Good luck to everyone!

Hello, all. I received an email saying there’s an update on my application page on 2/27. And I got admitted!! The email went to my spam, so please check your spam!
