The painful wait begins. Have you applied or heard anything?
Oh no, I totally plan on going all the way for it too!! I just was hearing that there will not be any advantage of those having an MSN over a BSN...like the program length will be about the same since there will be BSN-DNP programs....heard they are trying to phase out the MSN programs which worries me a little!
Really? Wow that will be interesting to see. I was reading that some want to get rid of or at least change the dnp saying it was too confusing having a "doctor" nurse...that may have just been the AMA though....either way, higher ed will be a requirement in the health care field, at least in my opinion, as we move forward so it's better to just embrace it like we are : )
Yikes....I just got an email saying a decision for me hasn't yet been made and I won't hear back for another week or two : (Guess this isn't looking too good for me. I wonder if it's because I still have a pre-req out (in one now and taking one over the summer)Hum....anyone else hear anything yet?
Oh man. : ( bummer! So who are you bouncing between loyola and Ress? Are you leaning one way or the other yet?I sent an email this morning asking if any decisions were made and when we would hear back. I am thinking maybe I was wait listed because of outstanding pre reqs but I'm not sure...just guessing here.Renee
RickyLatino87, don't be discouraged it is so selective and I found out last week I didn't get into UIC...We will all end up where we are meant to go! Do you mind if I ask what you got on your GRE scores? I didn't do well on mine either so am kind of nervous. Who was it that notified you via email...and admissions counselor? And Naysando...I called this morning didn't tell them my name or anything and they said that we will find out within the next two weeks so don't feel discouraged. Really getting nervous and compulsively checking my email...this is NOT good for my health!

Oh man sorry : ( I know uic and rush are über hard to get into : (I only applied to loyola and depaul. I would love to get a dnp so that's not a problem. I'm a dorky one that loves school/learning : )Both schools have a dnp program too- from the looks of them though it's still more community based and advancing heath care stuff- not patient focused, more grand scheme and broad focused- it might be strange to change that into a np requirement but I am planning on going all the way! : )
