Denver School of Nursing 2014

Hi Everyone,

I am starting this thread for people who are applying to Denver School of Nursing for any 2014 start date. I will be applying for the October 2014 start. It would be nice if other people who plan to apply will post their application/acceptance process. I know that I will be curious to see when other people start receiving calls for interviews. I hope to get into the ASN program, but I am a little nervous about my grades. I have gotten B's in all my pre-reqs and in the process of taking A&P 1, and may get a C...yikes. I do volunteer at Littleton Hospital, so hoping that will help. Can anyone else talk about what they are doing to hopefully get accepted in this school?

Grad in June 20. Got my transcripts along with actual degree on july9th. Walked to the DORA office downtown the same morning. Within an house I had my ATT#. Took it July31st.

Found a job around July 15ish- lots of replies. I also spent almost a whole morning on craiglist for nursing jobs and applying to every single one of them. Heard back from 5 out of 20. Not bad. And out of those I chose the one I liked the most. ;-)

You will do fine. There are jobs available for nurses as long as you keep your mind open. Understand that te ER is going to want you to have experience, or you need to know someone- it's just how it works unfortunately :-(

But there are jobs open you just have to look and keep open.
