Denver School of Nursing October 2016 Cohort

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone out there has applied for October 2016 cohort. I'm pretty sure this 6 week wait will be the longest of my life but it's well worth the wait.

  • "Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale or better in all prerequisite courses required. "

is this stating 2.5 cumulative gpa? or both 2.5 per prerequsites and cumulative ?

2.5 cumulative. I know my BS was 3.0 and my prerequisite were 4.0. So I don't know where the cut off was for the interview process. I had my interview three weeks ago and signed the enrollment papers last Friday 😊.

I live in Boulder and do not plan on moving, The commute isn't too bad and i plan on taking the Flatiron express bus and then walk three blocks to school. Parking is so expensive and riding the bus will give me time to study.

It's a minimum 2.5 for the 80 credits required for entry to the program. So pretty much your gen Ed and prereqs.

I have my interview in a few weeks and was just rereading the email I received that says to "bring all official transcripts". For those of you who have already interviewed, did you just have your schools send transcripts directly to DSN? Or did you actually bring something in to the interview with you? I'm just confused cause I thought any transcript that isn't sent directly from the school is considered unofficial... Would love if someone could help me out with this, thanks!

Hi! Official transcripts will have a pressed stamped seal. They took both paper official transcripts that I already had and they will also accept your transcripts emailed or mailed from your other institutions. Hope this helps.

I brought my official transcripts in a sealed envelope. Most school give you the option to send transcripts in official sealed envelopes.

Oh okay! Thank you guys so much!

Hi!

I had my interview last week and Kelly just had me bring any unofficial transcripts with me and then told me to have my school send over an electronic copy of my official one. I had to wait for my degree to be conferred.

I had my official transcripts mailed to me, and have not opened them. Is that ok for me to bring with me to my interview?

That's what I did and Jeff was totally okay with it. I got my official acceptance letter in the mail today. don't worry. You will do fine.

Yay! Congratulations!
