Denver School of Nursing-January 2015 Start

Hey there! I just applied to the DSN BSN completion program for January, 2015 start date. Was wondering if anyone else has applied or will be applying to DSN? I live in Oregon and would have to move to Colorado, but if I get my BSN out of the process I will be happy!

Hi All-

I have my HESI test and interview coming up in about 3 weeks. Does anyone know how in depth the physics and chemistry part of the test is?

I do start in Jan. It is the bachelor completion program.

but not the accelerated one, you don't have to take the HESI test for the accelerated bachelor program

I believe it's the 21 month program I'm in.

Do you already have a bachelors degree? It's the same program, but maybe you don't have to take it if you have a degree already. I just read that the test only covers grammar, vocab, math, and reading comp.

Yeah I have a bachelors already hmmm maybe that's it then. I get so confused. I thought the accelerated program you had to have a bachelors to get in but I guess if you have prior college credits and all the pre reqs you can do the accelerated route.

Yeah whether you have a bachelor's or just the specified classes you can apply and participate in the 21 month completion option. The difference with having a bachelors is the classes needed to apply as well as not needing to take the HESI. I have a bachelors and to my knowledge I don't need to take the HESI entrance exam.

Yes, hoping to! My interview is in a few weeks and I'll know for sure then! You are too, right? Where did you go/what did you get your bachelors in? Are you excited about starting at DSN?

Having an interview basically means your in :) So congrats! And yes I am, I had my interview at the beginning of the month and already signed my enrollment papers. I went to the university of Colorado Denver and got my BS in Biology! Are you from Colorado ? Or are you out of state? I live in Denver... And yes I am super excited to start and meet new people :)

Emjay I'm applying for April 2015 BSN too! I just sent my application off this morning. eeeek!! Congrats to all those on this post that got accepted. So is it still true if you get an interview you are in as long as you pass the HESI entrance?
