Denver School of Nursing- April 2015 BSN completion option!

Hi everyone!

Just starting a thread for DSN april admission 2015 :)! I bet everyone is eager to hear back... only a few more weeks yay! Has anyone else applied?

Hmm this is weird because I went for my financial aid meeting a month ago and I got a sallie may loan. Did they say why they aren't using them anymore?

Hi all! I applied for the July 2015 cohort. Just received an email saying I was chosen as an alternate. :( Kinda bummed... Any words of advice/encouragement from others who were chosen as alternates?

Keep your head up! I have heard many who have gotten pulled from the list. Don't give up yet! :)

Nope they didn't say why Ashton :/ she said theyre "moving away from it" and told me I had to wait for the other lenders soooo ya. We'll see what happens in a few weeks!

@laumh as you can see on this thread a lot of alternates got pulled! Try to keep your head up and if you don't have any volunteer/hands on experience or your CNA start working on that so you are a stronger applicant for the next start date.

@FutureNurseRebecca- thank you for your kind words! I am about 4 weeks out from finishing my CNA course, and hope to get some experience as soon as possible. Staying positive!

Hi FutureNurseRebecca, have you heard anything more about what other lenders they are going to? I am hoping to apply for the Jan 2016 start date and would love to know whats up with the financing.

Rgilette- The process is taking a little longer than they anticipated, so we get to start school and then will sign with a lender shortly after. They didn't share the list of lenders yet.

Hi, BrittneyrawGuzman

I am starting school in Jan 2016 at DSN. I am looking to buy used books for all of my classes since I am moving from Minnesota to Denver so I am trying to save as I can. Please let me know if you still have your first quarter books or if you know of any of your classmate is interested in selling theirs. I am assuming DSN does not change their quarter class schedule yearly.
