so disappointed!! I was denied in oregon because the graduation date was beyond 3 years.. please help me!! do you where can I go next??? do you know which state is not implementing a graduation rule and a state that is accepting applicants without experience?? please do help me....:madface:

That's interesting....after 3 years from the graduation date, you're not eligible to apply.

But to answer your question, what state do you want to apply for a job, the minute you pass the NCLEX-RN exam? As it makes no sense to "state-hop" around and have to meet that real desired state you want to settle into in the very first place. If that desired state falls within the other enforcing concurrency states, then you need to keep looking.

Seeing how OR is out of the picture and all the other west coast states are enforcing the concurrency, that leaves the more eastern states east of the western ones (hope that makes sense)....meaning CO, TX, NM, etc and some of the mid-west and eastern states. Good luck!

is Hawaii my next option? I just read that they only wanted the CES report. :(

Yes, if that's where you plan to immediately start looking for a job there versus trying to endorse back another state and having to pay more $$$ for application and possibly having to take and pass the other State's English proficiency exam.

I do have my English proficiency already, I tried so hard to find a job here, even in the non-nursing field. but no one wants me here. that's why I will try me best to pass this NCLEX to help my family :(

Yes, good luck to you! I know that HI is a tough state to get a nursing job. My two friends have been looking for over a year and it seems one must get in as a CNA or LPN or as a secretary or clerk (!!) and work for 1-2-3 years to be considered, unless you know someone from the inside (like our PH backers, lol).

They are working part-time in a coffee shop and other small part-time jobs.

my plan is that, I will take my NCLEX in Hawaii then endorse my license here in Washington. But, do you know what are the requirements in applying to Hawaii?

It makes NO sense again to apply into one state then endorse to another state is what I'm trying to tell you. You might as well apply into WA to begin with. Endorsing any other out-of-state license means you MUST meet the minimum educational requirements of that "real desired" state (WA in your case). However, again, WA is a state enforcing the concurrency rules as a few others have posted their disappointed results.

so, it is still impossible to endorse the Hawaii license in Wa? do the Wa still required a toefl test even in endorsement?

Yes, TOEFL required...83 total...26 speaking...but the bigger concern is that WA is a concurrency enforcing state. There have been a few posters not getting approved.

As I mentioned before, since OR has the 3 year limitation in your case, there's NO western coastal states to apply into and you'll have to look more east.

Even if you are endorsing from another state you still have to meet the requirements of that state. There is no point in getting a license in another state if that's not where you plan on staying.

Did OSBN suggest anything to you so you could still be licensed in Oregon? Could you perhaps take additional courses or get CEUs? Or was it a blunt "no"?
