Hey all! This is my first post on here!~
So I applied to the Bergen Community College Fall 2017 Day nursing program. I kept on checking my emails to see if I got a new email. Well lo and behold, I log onto mybergen to find the dreaded "DENIED" admission status. I had to do a double take.
These were my stats:
I looked over the nursing admission process pdf on the bergen nursing website and it stated that if you graduated within the last 5 yrs from HS, then you don't have to take college chem. I am very stressed out right now. I'm speaking to admissions on monday and hopefully it'll get sorted out. But does anyone have an idea about why I got denied?

A quick look at the program showed me these requirements: BIO109 and BIO209; WRT101 and WRT201; PSY101 and PSY106; SOC101 - did you complete those?
I believe that's for the evening program. The day program doesn't require all of those pre-reqs. I did complete BIO109 WRT 101, WRT 201, PSY 101, PSY 106, & SOC 101 at the time I submitted the app. By next semester, I should be able to get into the evening but still super confused about why I was denied the day program.

just some things for thought -- how did you do on the Entrance exam... and according to their website they calculate your writing and science GPA.. so that C in CHEM maybe killing you... you may consider taking the college CHEM class to improve the grade during the upcoming semester to improve your chances for the next application period.
I got denied during the initial admission part of the program so I didn't even take the exam yet. Maybe the chem did really kill me and I'm taking college chem right now.
*EDIT: I confirmed with the bergen cc nursing website that they only look to see if you're eligible during the initial admission period. Quoted from their website:
If you have NOT met
the minimum requirements for entry into
the program, you will receive a letter from
Admissions stating ineligibility.
