Simple. Call a lawyer that specializes in employment law in your state and that lawyer will be able to give you specific legal advice about how to proceed. That's what you should do.

Sadly there is probably not much you can do. It's a shame they gave you the job and let you start before deciding your background check didn't meet their requirements for employment. But most companies have a probationary period when either they can let you go, or you can decide to leave with no notice and no reason needed so I highly doubt if you would have any legal recourse.

Sorry this happened, best advice I can give you is to brush yourself off, get up and start applying elsewhere. Good luck to you.
