I am an LPN of 10 years, completed all required prerequisites, and have anAssociate Degree. I've applied to Charity SON twice and was NOT accepted because I received a low profile score of a 55!!!! I submitted a re-evaluation form for Spring 2016 after taking history and philosophy w/logic for my BSN at SUBR, and was scored a 55 again. I was told I did nothing to improve my profile score, nor increase my GPA. How??? When My GPA went from: DCC 3.230 to 3.473, CSN GPA 3.177 to 3.33, and cumulative 2.664 to 2.722. I'm frustrated and have reason to believe someone is miscalculating the profile score, mad because I challenge them on their wrongness/unfairness, and I strongly feel that they're denying many qualified applicants. I feel that I've been wrongfully & unfairly scored in the area of (academic hardiness for CSN cirriculum), because I withdrew from courses taken for a bachelors degree in social work and had absolutely nothing to do with nursing way back in 2010. I was told those courses I withdrew from could be used for a humanity. How??? When I submitted a form called "Nursing Cirriculum Self Assessment" which listed course work I have completed!!! I'm furious, and I feel that someone is wrong! I've done ALL I NEEDED TO DO!!!

If this has happened to you, please feel to post your frustrations!!!!!

My GPA is far from low! And no offense taken! I have a GPA of 3.4 for the college, 3.3 for the nursing school! I am an LPN and I hold a degree! I'm 17 credits from graduating with a bachelors in social work. No offense taken.

I have over 340 something credits from college! What else can I possible take???? I will not re apply, nor will I retake the Hesi!!! I will not patronize Delgado! I'm taking my last two classes for BSN. I posted this page for those whom I felt was wrongfully scored

Since all of you are experts on charity son, their grading systems, and their profile score. What is Academic hardiness of CSN curriculum???? I'm far from dumb, and the classes I received 0 points for on this section IS NOT PART OF THE CURRICULUM FOR CSN!!! Your CSN curriculum courses are: eng I, eng II, maths, a&p I & II lec & lab, microbiology, humanities, fine arts, and biology!!!!!!

There's no supporting documentation that states History, and English literature is CSN curriculum courses!!! Nor does their website/bulletin states they can use classes like that taken that you dropped against you! Y'all better get the facts right!!!! FYI: I've taken all these classes, plus nursing, pharmacology, and social work courses....all resulting in nothing less than a B Grade. Intro to philosophy, philosophy w/Logic (for BSN), Spanish, speech communication, public speaking, macroeconomics, political government, African American history, math 120, math 130, math118, elementary statistics. I thank y'all for your advice, but I will advocate for all who don't have the guts to speak about the unfairness of charity son!!!!!

Academic hardiness has nothing to do with the nursing curriculum rather how likely it is that you will pass the classes the first time. According to their rubric if you withdrew/failed/retook more than 2 classes in 5 years tells them you are not secure enough to receive points for academic hardiness.

Furthermore, the fact that you are an LPN and have an AS does not make you a special snowflake for the program. As MANY of the enrolled students have 3.8+, 80+ HESI, bachelors and/or masters degrees already.

Put simply you aren't as competitive as you think you are.

The academic hardiness descriptor is spelled out on the score evaluation sheet - so your claim they don't divulge is unfounded.

Lol!!! I hear you! First of all you don't know me! Second of all its not your decision to make! And lastly, I don't have to explain myself to you! Who are you? A student? Instructor? RN? What???? A non factor to me!!! Good day
