Hi, I am new here. I am currently working on pre-reqs for the DCCC nursing program and will be applying for Fall 08. For those of you that are already in the program, can you give me an idea of what your NET scores were. I am very anxious. I didn't meet the criteria the first time, but I just got my scores back from my second try and I got 89% in math and 76% in reading and and 82% total comp score. I am going to take it one more time to see if I can improve those score, but I was wondering how everyone else did. Thanks, Tina

Actually DCCC is very difficult to get into. The Entrance test is the NET test. You need a composite of 65 or better to be admitted but you wont gain entry into the program with anything under an 85. The competition is pretty steep. But their is a study book available for the NET test available at the bookstore. Read and study it and as long is your relatively smart, you should do ok. But you only have 3 chances to take the test.

Hey Matt. I take DCCC NET test tomorrow. I bought the NLN NET Test study guide and have been studying my butt off! : ) Is there anything else I could do that may help?? Is there a science section? I have been doing really well on the math and some what ok on the reading. I have so much anxiety about tomorrow! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

hey matt- I start the Chester County program in a few weeks- evening/weekends. When do you have to wear your uniform? Is it just for clinicals or for the nursing classes too? My uniforms are out of stock and I am freaking out because they don't know when they are going to have them in!

Thanks!

You only wear your uniforms during actual clinical days in the hospital. Let me guess, you went to head to toe? That place is expensive and they all had attitudes and were also late with mine. Good luck You most likely will have a clinical instructor names Carol Hanna, she was pretty cool, knowledgable, and and easy to deal with. Good Luck, study hard and make sure you do your objectives in your packet for 110.

Im sorry for the late reply, if you bought the study guide in DCCC bookstore, and studied it, you should be fine. There is no science section and make sure to master the reading and math good luck

i actually just went to head to toe and matt is right! they are very ignorent people!

Thanks matt for the info- I did go to head to toe uniforms and when i asked if they had any idea how long it would take to get the uniforms she said she didn't know, that they would have to call me. Very unhelpful and not very customer service oriented.

Which Head To Toe did you go to? I start this fall too and I got my uniform last week at the Thorndale store. The sales people there were decent.

I went to the one in Malvern, but when I got out of there I called the Thorndale store just to see if they could get them quicker. I am not sure if I talked to the owner, but she also told me that she had to fill orders for people who had ordered them months ago (which she just so happened to be doing when I was on the phone), and she had no idea as well when she would have them in. I talked to a friend who ordered her uniform at the april orientation, and she has just got hers...3 months later! I get it--I supposedly ordered mine late, apparently there was a cutoff date of July 1 and the lady acted like I was supposed to know that---but how could she stand there and tell me she didn't have ANY idea of when they might be in?? Whatever happened to customer service?

I ordered mine at the April orientation. I actually went to the Thorndale store a few weeks ago to see if it might be ready and to look at the stethescopes and shoes. They told me then that it was not ready but the order just came in so I should be expecting a call. Within the next day or so they called and I picked it up. Hopefully it won't take yours 3 months. I don't understand why it takes so long to get a standard uniform. I saw that the first clinical day is September 20th so you have a few weeks after school actually starts before you really need it. If you still don't have it by the time school starts talk to the instructor to see what can be done. I got 2 sets of pants and tops so if it comes down to it you can where my extra one till you get yours and I amsure other people might have an extra set too. I can't believe we start in a few weeks! I am getting a little nervous!

That is really nice of you to offer! Do you know what company makes the shirts and pants? I was thinking of looking online...Also where did you see that clinicals start Sept 20th? Are you in the Chester County program? I am in CC evening/weekend. I am getting really nervous as well!!!

Hey TiffTiff! I wonder why they told you there was a cut off date? I just ordered mine during the beginning of this month and received it earlier today. I went to the Malvern location also.
