Obtained my BSN and have been working in the ED for 2 years. I'm interested in going back to school for further education but unsure of which direction to go. Any advice on the upcoming tops jobs? NP, MSN, CRNA what options do I even have available? I definitely don't want to do administrative work and would much prefer hands on pt care.
Thanks

If you like your patients awake and hands on, CRNP. If you like them asleep and hands on-ish, CRNA. If you want to go the CRNA route, you'll need 1-2 years in an ICU before you can apply to most programs.

Most graduate programs in nursing lock you into a specific career path and role. I would encourage you to put some time and effort into deciding where you want your career to go, what you want to be doing, and then figure out what degree you need to get you there. Best wishes!
