Deep breath in slow breath out

I am FREAKIN out!!!!!! I take the NCLEX RN on Wed morning at 9am, and My brain has quit working!!!!!

All I've been doing for the past month is reading and doing questions (about2-300 per day) and I don't know anything!!!!!!!!!!:crying2:

I'm desperate to pass and enjoy my summer with my sons, since I've went to school for 4 years summers and all, and had a divorce then remarried 2 years ago. It just seems so much is riding on this, and the stress of it all is just getting to me. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone please say that they can relate.......

I defintely can relate I will take mine on Tues. and I am feeling so scared but I also feel that God has brought me through alot of stuff and I have faith he will bring me through this as well. I am relying on my faith to help ease some of the anxiety and also the fact that my school was no cake walk and I made it with the help of God. I have done over 3000 questions and scoring 65-79%. I originally planned to take it later but since I will be in orientation soon its not the best time. I hope I know by Thurs. so I can finally fullly celebrate with my kids. I am claiming victory now.

Good Luck

Good luck guys! Let us know how it goes.

Specializes in ICU.

I can relate... on many levels...

There are so many things I could be doing

-accompanying my husband on a business trip to the coast (he left today)

-hanging out with my 18yr daughter who just mentioned that she's thinking of getting a tatoo (her way of letting me know she needs my attention)

-packing up our house (my internship is in the "big city")

-planning for our new place

But, I know that NCLEX prep takes priority right now. I test on the 28th. I really do wish my test date were sooner. Because, until I test I will feel that the things "I want to do" won't be worth it if I bomb my boards!?

In addition, I found a review CD that I almost forgot about... It has a 100 question exam on Delegation and Prioritization. I was so excited to find it... UNTIL... I started reading questions that kinda freaked me out. For example, which one of two "suicide risk" clients has the highest priority? Knowing which modifable risk factor is most important when teaching a specific DX, yes all four were correct! etc... I did all the "D and P" questions on 3 other CD's prior to this and felt like I was ready to kick some "D and P" butt...

And, part of me is worried that I am putting to much emphasis on being prepared for the "higher level" type questions. I don't want to "blow the basics".

okay with all that said...

-My plan is to move on to a more comprehensive review.

-I will be glad that I found a CD that "freaked me out", and learn from it. (I actually had to use the Kaplan strategies)

-I will do some type of physical activity outside everyday between now and my test. The exercise, time in the sun and distraction will probably help me "chill out".

Good luck and thanks for helping me feel that I am not alone...
