So, I finally feel I should not give up......I will be a retaker for 2nd time in December. I felt so low when I failed the test in July'07. I was thinking to take in october but just couldnt get motivated to study. In the meantime, I joined RN-BSN program. So, currently I am in school taking 15 credits of classes. I need to have my RN license before winter so I can do practical in communnity health, a required class for BSN.

After visiting this site almost everyday, reading success stories and encouragement given by one of my wonderful instructor from my ASN program, I am motivated to do it.

So, newcomers as well as retakers, Lets get together, support each other and lets pass the RN test. WE CAN DO IT.

For now, I have started practicing Q&A at least 2 hrs/day from Saunders CD. I will keep you updating and hope you all will share the tips as well.

i took the exam today, dec.1,2007. i reviewed in kaplan and i suggest to all who will be taking the nclex-rn exam to understand what the nclex rn is asking--- blooms taxonomy--- analysis level not just knowing/memorizing all the nursing content. i prayed for passing grade and also i prayed that God will answer for me! hehehe love you all! this site is really helpful thats why i write here now too!

Please let us know how Kaplan has helped you for the NCLEX coz I'm currently doing it and I hope it'll be worth it!!

Mine's on the 14th! Please include me in your prayers, y'all! I will definitely need them! Thanks in advance and I will surely be praying for all of us December NCLEX-RN test takers. We will get that RN license!!! Hehe :D

you mean the kaplan book we can find in barnes and noble.

I mean the kaplan course book that came along with the complete package.

i feel the same way to postpone my test. i am the only one who failed from my graduating class from summer. i feel like its better to take time and not to fail than rush to take and fail. my instructor is absolutely insisting me to finish pda book. she said she'd guarantee that if I fail after using that book, she'd tutor me every weekend for free....... there must be something if she is guaranting so much. after much thought i want to have a bit more time to do pda book because i will feel so guilty if i dont do it and fail. hope that i won't.

You know what I just did:uhoh21:.......changed the schedule to Dec 28th. I promise guys this would be it. I want to get done in december and so I can celebrate the new year with a new beginning.

to the first week test takers: dont forget to review:

1) common and imp. diagnostic test

2) lab values

3) imp. med therapeutic ranges, toxicity, antidotes, side effects---sata q common with dig, lasix, mgso4, haldol, kcl, insulin--(these are my friends tips for sata)

4) math conversion

5) drug classes side effects, must know acls drugs (my instructor's tip)

6) priority---abcs always first, maslows (think safety), nursing process (assess before intervene)

7) infection control--isolations needs

8) dm i & ii, insulin peak times, diet teaching

9) take your sweet time with first 75q, breathe deeply even if you don't know the answer---work through elimination.

i am just following suzzane's plan and mine is on 21st. i feel her plan is helping me so much. i feel like i should postpone too but i won't because then i will get lazy. i am kind of person who works under pressure........and besides i will well finish suzzane's plan by then.

to december testtakers: we are in this together, we will prevail the test

and i have been praying to god almighty for all december test takers to overcome the fear and pass the test. we will do it.

hello everyone! i reviewed with kaplan (complete course: with lectures in the kaplan center, with books, with online access of review and practice questions, etc... ) and i would like to tell you guys (december takers) that kaplan really helps me. i suggest to you now that you must be confident in what you know right now and dont feel bad about a topic you did not read/review. just look the "glass in half full not the half empty" so that you will face forward the exam strongly! brush away the nervous feeling you will ever have, repression is the best defense mechanism now, important that you must focus, focus, focus and brush aside whatever is in the way!!!!

this is my first time to take the nclex, im not saying that i did very well and i'm 100% sure of my result, what i know is only 3 result: pass, fail, do it again til i pass. what im saying to the december group now is go! go! go! focus! focus! focus!
