So how do you handle MDs like this? Any advice?

The new nurse was looking for a fetal heart, had another come in and NO ONE saw the baby already in the bed?????HELLO????? The mother never mentioned it? Here are a couple of nurses who se competence should be questioned!!
On another note, 8 weeks in L&D is not nearly enough. Given the information in your post, I would RUN away from that usit ASAP!! If this truly happened, then it is more reason for you to realize that 8 weeks of orientation is not nearly enough!
It sounds like an accident waiting to happen every time.That doctor may be a problem, but I can certainly understand his dissatisfaction with this specific scenario! I am sorry I cannot offer any help or advice, but there is no answer for this as to how you should proceed, except to proceed right out the door completely! Don't risk your license!!@!!!
