Tell me have you ever had to deal with 'that' nurse that knows everything, tells you what to do cause your doing it wrong and won't take constructive criticism, what do you say to someone like that?

I have dealt with that nurse, EMT, MD, CNA, patient, family member, if there is a know it all is in the building they feel they must tell me how to do my job. Most of the time in long and detailed instructions which prevents me from doing my job. If I can get away with it I just walk away or I say something "Oh, I have got to go I hear a bed alarm" and I move very quickly away.
What are they going to do to me? Tell me or my boss that I do not know how to do my job. Well they already do that.

ooohhhh if I had a nickel for all the know-it-alls in the ER, I'd be RICH RICH RICH!!!! Just ignore them. It'll only irritate you to no end and we have higher priorities than those coworkers with their insecurities. Walk away.

I let them have their way. You think you can take better care of this patient? You think you're the best nurse in the whole ER? OK, take care of all of'em. I'm gonna sit over there and read a magazine, OK?
