Daytona State Fall 2017

Hey all! I'm applying in May for an August start date to Daytona State College's nursing program. Anyone else?

Is there any LPN- RN applicants that took their LPN at another school?. My transcripts were finally inputted and it doesn't include any of my LPN classes. This brings my cum GPA down almost 0.25 of a point. ������

Does anyone know if letters were mailed yet?

I have a B.S. from another school and they nit-picked what they'd accept, taking me from a 3.4 to 3.0 on the dot. I complained and they said it's because they "don't offer anything equivalent to those courses". You might want to call and talk to someone about it, since you'd think they would accept LPN courses.

As far as letters going out- you'd think Friday if previous trends hold true. I know I'll post when I get mine.

I am not sure.. if no one has gotten anything by Friday then Monday I was going to call and ask. I'm trying to be as patient as possible but it's really hard now.

Yeah my patience level is at a zero lol I panic everytime I go to open the mailbox! Really hope it's in the next few days.

Amberd are you going for LPN, RN or LPN-RN?

RN. I have a BS in Health Science already and have gotten in before, just couldn't accept the seat due to broken bones at the last second... Hopefully that won't happen again. My TEAS is in the 90s too, so I'm not anticipating any issue over their silly GPA calculation rule.

Looking at other post I think we'll start getting letters maybe that last week in June.

Me either. But I am worried with my GPA. I don't know if there is different consideration for the transition program or not.

So I am pretty sure its safe to say that next week is definitely The WEEK lol. This has really been the longest month ever!! Again best of luck to everyone!!

@VieraGrl1030 Hey!! I'm sorry for your situation about your GPA, I would tell you to try not to stress it so much but that's kind of hard since we all are pretty stressed right now lol. But your GPA is still good! Stay encouraged and I hope the best for ya!!

Thanks! After some discussion they added my previous nursing classes as vocational electives but they didn't raise my GPA much. I will just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. I just wanna know already and get on with my life. Lol
