I'm a bit early with starting a topic on spring term of 2016 for nursing school but I need a little encouragement ladies!! I have finished all of my pre requisites for nursing and I have taken the teas test once and made a 72.7 which I plan on retaking and I have a 3.4 GPA! Is that good enough to get into nursing school?? Who else is planning on applying to Seminole state or Daytona state nursing school?? Oh and I'm in the process of become a CNA so I can have flexible hours!!
Hi Niki, I applied to Daytona, its been a slow process getting all the pre-reqs done, but finally finished them. Hopefully we will get in. I have heard that the Spring enrollment is a little easier on GPA's etc., but it sounds like you have what you need to make it in! I am sure it will be a busy schedule.
I applied to Seminole and Daytona in the first week of September. I had all pre-reqs finished, 3.6 gpa and 91 on the teas. I applied to the AS-RN, and Seminole only had 12 spots open for that (the rest go to the concurrent BSRN) so I thought applying to both would be safe. I received my email Friday that I got in to Seminole! Yay! I wish everyone luck with their applications!

I am currently in Seminole State's program. I can tell you that no one that was accepted into my class had any pre-reqs left to complete. Their policy is that you can apply and be accepted if you are in the process of finishing your last pre-req. In your case, if you apply and are in the process of taking Micro, you might be accepted under the contingency that you will finish Micro before your begin your core nursing classes. If you are successful in Micro, you'll be able to keep your seat. If you are unsuccessful in Micro, you won't be able to keep your seat.
