4 days to go and i need some help!

Okay so I'm taking NCLEX this Saturday. 4 days to go.

I honestly have slacked on studying for the past couple weeks. I graduated May 15th and my school requires the HESI. I took the HESI 5 times and studied my LIFE away for that exam in order to pass. Some girls have yet to pass it. So beginning in March and ending in June, I studied studied studied, probably have done around 4000-5000 questions. But after I passed the HESI, i slacked a bit and haven't done a whole lot.

Do you think I'm now doomed for the NCLEX? I almost feel confident for it, but it makes me nervous that I took time off from studying. However, I'm almost out of questions to study!

How would you suggest I go about the remaining days of studying? Just do a basic overview of all types of questions? Keep specific to my weak areas?

I am also taking NCLEX RN on Saturday!! Wow, time has gone fast since graduating. I honestly slacked off after graduating too, but have been preparing for the last 2 weeks by doing lots of practice questions, reviewing pharmacology and looking up unfamiliar things in Saunders. I think we just have to trust that we know more than we don't and try not to let anxiety get the best of us and we will do fine! GOOD LUCK!! :)

If you have done 5000 questions you should be prepared. Relax the day before and have a calm, confident Saturday. Good luck.

good luck cmmny! i hope we both do it!!

and thanks caliotter. im just so concerned that i havent studied much in the last 2 weeks at all! eeek

I studied like a maniac. I am not sure it made any difference. I got the good pop up, but I swear, it must be random: Oh, she wore green, she passes... she put her hair up to the left. Fail... He's a guy, not many here today, pass...

Seriously, I don't feel like that test had anything to do with anything. I will be soooooo glad to put it behind me. If you feel ready, go for it.

I think you should take it easy, i just took my nclex today, my studying was for the mostpart out of the window. Know your infection control, priority, delegation, meds thats my advice. For meds, know the patho then you can figure out the answer. Some of my SATA were on infection control and mostly meds. just know the subjects of the meds. 4000 is a lot of questions, i only did the book by Lacharity and Saunders, but just questions. Youll do great, i know it.

Hi there I took my NCLEX two weeks ago and passed; and that is exactly what i did i took about 4000 questions, but my school required NLN instead of hessi; I think you will be fine, and I would just review infection control, know your precautions, droplet, airborne; and just think to your self that its a minimum competency exam to see if you are a safe practicing nurse; Good Luck and let us know how it went!
