Hi, this is my first time posting, and wanted to see if anyone is attending Davenport University? I have 3 more pre req's, then take the HESI in January....I love it!
According to the Michigan Board of Nursing the only Davenport campus that is accredited by them is the Central campus which says is in Midland. Here is a link to the MI-BON approved schools:

I'm not sure what happens if you graduate from a program that isn't on the Board of Nursing's approved list-can you not get licensed?
I am also doing my pre-req's at Davenport. I went online yesterday to take a look at the program and the req's for the LPN, RN, and BSN have changed again. There are classes that I have taken that are no longer a requirement.....I left a message for my advisor to call me....I'm starting to get a little apprehensive about everything....
I just spoke to my advisor, spring summer will be the last term for career and education seminar, and will be replaced with Health 101 in fall. But if you have taken the career class you do not need to take the Health 101. I don't think the class you are talking about is needed anymore....are you taking the HESI in January?
Does anybody know if the HESI is more of an assessment or is it a pass/fail type of exam.
I attend Davenport in Midland. It is a bit pricy but I only have 2 pre reqs to go. Can anyone help my in ideas how to study for the hesi exam?
If you are referring to the entrance Hesi (not the one you take to prep for the NCLEX), all you need to do is study the Hesi study guide that the colleges have available in the library (or buy your own). That is what I used to study and I scored very well. I did buy a 6th grade math workbook to practice with too, that helped a lot!

I know that 420 is a lot but actually it is 385 per credit. Not much difference when you look at it. I looked on the school's web page and it is accredited with the Michigan Board of Nursing. I don't know if the girl I talked to was referring to the National Board of Nursing. Maybe she misunderstood.
