any ma's to rn in ohio
Hi I am a medical assistant. My school didn't acknowledge my degree or my experience. Some schools will offer credit for life experience. When I was in school for medical assistant, we were given this big blown out of proportion dream of a wonderful career as a medical assistant, making good money. The job is nice if you like working in a doctor's office, but the money and benefits are much better if you get hired at a hospital. The tuition was about $6,000, but I wished I had went to school for rn instead of ma.

I have math 030 this semester. It started off fairly easy, but now it seems to be getting a little difficult. I want to pass this class and not have to repeat it. I might have to get a tutor (I hope not). My gpa right now is a 3.9.

I will take the HESI in January. I spoke with a young lady in my math class. She is in the nursing program. I asked her about the HESI and how she did. She said that she didn't do that well on the test but was still admitted to the nursing program. Her gpa was 3.7.

I am happy that you posted this information. I do not look forward to adding three more classes onto my curriculum. I also noticed that the name has changed for INTD 100, it will be known as FRSM 100. They are doing a lot of restructuring.

I am hoping that the Midland campus is the main campus for the nursing program and all the other campuses are just branches. I know that financial aid and administrative issues have to be mailed to the Grand Rapids campus because this is the school's main campus.

Now that I am not sure of. But I have the same question that you posed earlier. How can they not accredit the nursing programs at each campus.

I know that 420 is a lot but actually it is 385 per credit. Not much difference when you look at it. I looked on the school's web page and it is accredited with the Michigan Board of Nursing. I don't know if the girl I talked to was referring to the National Board of Nursing. Maybe she misunderstood.

I agree totally. I am going to do some investigation regarding this. The person that I talked to decided not to go into nursing because of this issue and instead is working towards a degree in healthcare administration. She also said that the Warren and I think Grand Rapids campus were the only schools that had accredidation for nursing. If there is anyone that attends Davenport please respond if you know this to be true.

I am a student at Davenport. I am taking pre-reqs for nursing. I am wondering how everyone likes Davenport's nursing program. A former student was telling me that Davenport's Dearborn campus is not accredited for nursing. I am wondering how Davenport's nursing program compares to WCCCD.
