Darton College Summer 2011

Published

Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the summer 2011 program a couple weeks ago. Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and HESI score if you don't mind me asking. My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I have not taken the HESI yet. Also, I applied to the Darton College. If I don't get accepted for the summer, I'll just apply for the fall.

Thanks

@pewinsto, as for the testing thing, I was thinking the same as far as 250 applying for the summer... but then how many people are applying for the Thomasville track??? if at least 50 people applied for that program, our

chances for the summer albany track are a little better!

Also eliminate the people who took the test for the fall bridge program (which I didn't know they took the test the same as we did for the summer program) like prettymica did... Im am so anxious find out hopefully good news for everyone!

Very good point! I didnt realize the ppl that were testing during those dates were applying to other locations. I just want someone on here to geta freakin letter already! LOL I feel soooooooo impatient yet anxious!

I was thinking that they would test at a different location, but both albany and thomasville track were on the same application, so I don't know if they tested at a different location!!! I hope they did test at Darton so they were included in the 250 bunch! LOL I am so nervous and axious right along with you! I made an 80 on the HESI and idk my actual transfer or nursing gpa... I know its not the best but one person on here (youcandoit) had the same gpa around mines and she got in with similar stats as me, so I hope I have a chance!

Yeah I need them to hurry... So I can decide on apartment or dorms and keep my job on Atlanta or find a job in Albany

Ladies I completely understand! @prettymica are you going to travel to Albany onyl for classes? I was thinking about doing that bc I was recently offered a GREAT job that is only 3 days a week (W-F) in the evenings and was hoping I could just travel to and from. Thoughts?

Thats a lot to have done within the matter of a month and a half! I am so praying they will give me a chance because I feel like my stats aren't the best, and just as other said on this site, they havemade their mistakes back then, and now they felt like they were nursing school and grew up a lot! I am so ready to start this journey with you guys, all we need are the acceptance letters!!!

I have to apply for a dorm also so I am wishing that they would hurry up and send them out because if I do get in, I will have to apply for housing immediately and hope to get a spot!

That's a lot of traveling... Most nursing schools are 5 days a week and gas is going to get more expensive... I was going to travel myself but it's cheaper to just get housing for me( I have a small suv). I plan to still work in atlanta on the weekends so I can see my family

Yeah I was thinking about that however I havea friend who is in the program now that is only going three days a week at the Albany campus. I dont think she has begun her clinicals as of yet. IDK..I may have to come back and forth during the summer and then move in the Fall. I guess it depends on financial aid and how housing goes for the summer. Are you staying on campus or off? If on, where?

I want to stay on campus. I don't know anyone there and rent with all utilities will be about the same as campus housing... I want to do the single room with no roomies or the deluxe room so I out rooms won't be so close and I like the sitting area.. But I haven't completely ruled out an apartment

I can't see the pictures from my phone so I think it's call darton commons

I totally agree...I have lived alone for some time and dont think I want a roommate either. Plus I learned in undergrad that not all ppl are compatible. Some ppl are early birds, loud or whatever. I'd rather live alone and be on my own schedule. How does housing work in the summer? Is it first come first serve?
