I was thrilled I got a 98% on my first nursing exam! The one question I missed out of the 50, was the one "select all" question. I even treated it like a T/F question, but still missed it. Argh.

How did you prepare for the exam?
I pretty much just reviewed the Powerpoints EVERY DAY. I have kids with special needs, so I never know when something out of the ordinary is going to happen, so last minute cramming is not for me. Although talking with other students, I think it was more just being very careful while taking the test. Since it was NCLEX style test, I underlined or circled key words in the question and in the answers. Even though it was multiple choice, I'd scribble why each answer was wrong or right next to each choice. It helped me visualize what would be the best answer.

That is a great way to narrow down answers- to find the right one. Congrats on your exam score!

Edatri...Thanks to you I got 90% on my first exam! (68/75). I used your technique of narrowing down the answers by circling important words in the stem and writing next to the answers why they might be wrong or right. It worked like a charm! I still got 7 of them wrong:-(, but I can truly say the teacher didn't even "teach" us 95% of what was on that exam, so I'm just happy that I passed!
Thank you very much for sharing that!
