Dansko Shoes are killing my feet!!!

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Help!!! I paid a ton of money for these Dansko shoes because everyone said they were so great. The tops of my feet are killing me! I have worn them twice and both times, terrible pain on tops of my feet all the way to my middle toe. A friend suggested pads for the tops of my feet that you can buy at a shoe store but it has been almost a week since I last wore those shoes and my feet are still hurting. I'm a size 7 1/2 american shoes but these come in either 37 for size 6 1/2 to 7 or 38 for size 7 1/2 to 8. I bought the 38 hoping bigger would be better.

Any advice out there?

I own about 20 pair of the professionals and the top of my foot hurts everytime I get a new pair. I’ve tried having them stretched, but, it never works. I also have very wide feet and high arch. Unfortunately, until you break them in, they will hurt. I pay a lot of money for them so I wrar them until the sole falls off, literally. But, I recently switch to wearing the Mary Jane style with no problems or pain.

Rolled ankles and random falls, well...that’s another story. I should switch to sneakers but I hate sneakers.

My feet and entire lower body have been full of arthritis since my mid-late 30's. Thankfully, I don't have to work as an RN anymore. No shoe would ever help.

SAS without a doubt the best shoe in the world for nurses. And now there are plenty of styles to accommodate the most discerning buyer!

Honestly, they're the number one nursing shoes but most nurses I've spoken to ever since nursing school hate them. They all say that they hurt. We wear sneakers and I swear by my Adidas Pure and Ultra Boost sneakers. I own about 4 pairs. One to workout in, an all black and a pair to match my scrubs and one for just plain use. I'm also in the ED, we all wear sneakers down here. Upstairs in the other departments, nurses claim their feet hurt. We work too long to have that problem throughout our shifts
