Hey! Has anyone in the Dallas area ever had clinicals at Baylor Irving or Medical Center Plano? These are my top two choices for sites when I start this fall. Our other choices are RHD, and Medical Center Mesquite. Any feedback on any of these???

Hi Holli, I wanted to go Baylor in Irving since it is closer to my home. However, first semester students at El Centro are limited to the VA Medical Center, Integrated Health Systems, Richardson Medical Center or Presbyterian/ Jackson( at least for this semester).

Hi Kevin! I'll be at Brookhaven, but we may cross paths eventually! Our choices for this semester are the ones I posted above, plus Dallas Southwest Hospital, which is my dead last choice. I am debating between Irving, Plano, and RHD. Since I live in Denton, none of them are close to me. RHD is right beside the campus, though, and probably the closest and most convenient since we will have to go by there the day before our shifts, plus the two clinical days. What an adventure we are about to embark upon!

Hi Holli,
I don't know if this will help you much but I had my baby at Baylor Health Center Irving/Coppell and I can't say enough wonderful things about the place! Everyone there is very professional and friendly. The hospital is very clean. Excellent patient care. I could go on and on.........:)

Hey Holli, I am in Denton too! I go to NCTC.
Hi! I took A&P at NCTC here in Corinth last fall. I decided to go to DCCCD to finish the program. Partly because I had been a student there years before, and they didn't require that I take another Chem. class! I just wish DCCCD had some clinical sites up closer to us. Nice to "meet" you!
Dood...I did to. Who did you have? I was in A&P 1 last fall and finished up 2 in the spring.
I took it at night. I had Dr. Mark. What a class! I took micro in the spring, and I am taking A&P II right now. What semester are you?

We use Baylor Irving as a clinical site for my program (I'm at UTA). I've only heard good things about this hospital. I volunteered in the ICU before I started nursing school, and the nurses were great to me. I don't know anything about the other sites though.
Good luck to you in your classes.
I had Dunlap for 1 and 2 , he was AMAZING. I am taking 7 hours summer 2, and I have 2 classes left in the fall (including micro). I will be applying for Jan. YIPEEEEEEE
P.S Wassup Subec...hehehehehe
