  1. Hi Holli, I wanted to go Baylor in Irving since it is closer to my home. However, first semester students at El Centro are limited to the VA Medical Center, Integrated Health Systems, Richardson Medical Center or Presbyterian/ Jackson( at least for this semester). Kevin
  2. I don't know if your job offers it but what about getting direct deposit? Kevin
  3. Late a few nights ago, American Gladiators was on the TV and it was the gladiators against contestents in the medical field. Well, one of the contestents was a CERTIFIED NURSE. She was aknowledged as a nurse the entire show. I have never heard of a CERTIFIED NURSE before. Come to find out she was a CNA. I think if you are a CNA, great!, but you should be acknowledged as a CNA and not a nurse. There is a difference.
  4. Can caregivers give medications? My mother worked for an assisted living home as a caregiver and was required to give the residents their medications. She was very stressed out about this because she could not keep up with giving the correct meds at the correct times and knows for sure that mistakenly there were times she and her coworkers did not give the correct medications to the residents or gave them at incorrect times. She still works for the assisted living home but quit working as caregiver. There is supposedly a nurse working from 9-5 but she does not give meds because she is "busy with other things". Is this legal? It sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Kevin
  5. I agree with ceecel.dee , people who cheat are only cheating themselves and will eventually fail. I have seen it so many times with people who are dishonest. Initially they can get away with it and it seems unfair, but in the end their dishonest behaviors always end up being their downfall. Kevin
  6. Hi Ctyler98, I have always found online, self-paced and telecourses a lot easier than attending classes. I took both both English 1301 ( online course)and 1302( telecourse) online and recieved an A in both. English 1301 was composed of writing several essays on a variety of different topics. There were no tests, only submitting essays via the internet. In English 1302, there were essays and research papers that were to be submitted online, and also several objective tests that had to be taken at the college. I think if you are doing well in your other off campus courses, you should have no problem with these writing courses. Good Luck. Kevin
