Starting a thread for those who have applied or are applying to Dallas children's nurse residency for July 2017!

I received an offer yesterday for PICU/trauma ICU.

When did they call you? I interviewed for PICU and trauma ICU wnd I was under the impression they were separate residencies. Did they tell you it would be in both areas or just one?

They called yesterday morning. Sorry, she said trauma ICU but I thought that picu and trauma were together? But maybe it is just trauma? Which is great and what I wanted. But when I interviewed, it had trauma/picu for one of my interviews and cardio for the other?

Well sounds like my "good news" wasn't an offer and it's back to the waiting game for me. Have rejections gone out yet?

Has anyone received anything other than @stacialy? A call or rejection email or? Starting to get a little frustrated that I haven't heard anything still.....

So I received that voicemail last week, but then was told that more information about offers won't be available until later this week. So maybe they're still offering positions? Not 100% sure.

@stacialy, Did they send you a follow up e-mail confirming your offer? Still waiting for an offer for the ICU trauma...

@grac I did receive an email basically stating that I had accepted the offer, steps to email references, request for disclosure form, and copy of CPR card. She said I would get another email this week with more paperwork and I think the specifics.The email basically said thanks for joining team and she would let the team in trauma ICU know I accepted the offer. The offer was actually over the phone.

Hopefully, they are still making calls! Hopefully you will hear something soon and we will get to work together @grac. She did say they were taking 4 to the trauma ICU.

If we accept a spot in the residency program, do we have to sign a two year contract? If so, how much money would we have to pay if we have to leave before the contract ends?
