  1. Hi! I’m doing PNP Fall 2019 in Dallas. I think the first semester or so should have the same classes as FNP. Does anyone have a sample degree plan for either program? Also, anyone know how often we go to campus? Thanks!
  2. The difference between you and him is that if and when your families decide to expand, you will probably take time off after having a child and he won't. So then, during your maternity leave, he'll be able to say he has x weeks/months more experience than you. During that time, he'll also have the opportunity to keep working toward advancement and you'll come back to the same position you left. That's a built in disadvantage
  3. In the States, paternity leave hardly exists. So yes, child rearing and other domestic obligations fall to the mother. It's a societal issue, and wage-gaps will continue to exist until men and women are truly 50-50 at home. Choosing to believe it isn't an issue, doesn't mean it's not an issue. It's a problem that will only be solved with a complete restructuring of societal gender norms and domestic duties.
  4. Hey y'all! Will someone add me to the facebook group? Not sure how to find it. name: Loretta Stark and I'll be on pulmonary!
  5. Ugh that's frustrating. I had a preliminary internet today with HR and he told me multiple positions were open. But I know they use an outside agency so who knows if he really knows.
  6. Congrats!! Did she end up contacting you or were you able to get a hold of her?
  7. I received an email last week to schedule a phone interview this week with a recruiter for general peds. He asked my availability, then never confirmed anything. He hasn't answered any follow up emails and I'm having trouble being able to speak with someone over the phone. Any advice on how to get a hold of someone?
  8. I'm in the same situation. Did you tell Georgia you have another offer? i have a deadline and I'm not sure how to get a hold of her
  9. So I received that voicemail last week, but then was told that more information about offers won't be available until later this week. So maybe they're still offering positions? Not 100% sure.
  10. Well sounds like my "good news" wasn't an offer and it's back to the waiting game for me. Have rejections gone out yet?
  11. The interviewed for ccbd and picu. Has anyone else heard back?? Maybe she had a different kind of good news and it's not offers yet? haha starting to overthink
  12. I received a voicemail today about "good news", but have not been able to get back in touch with her. Seems like calls are beginning!
  13. I'm actually from dallas, boring I know. But I'm spending a few months abroad before I start work. But that's awesome people are applying from all over! That's the number of applicants who applied for all positions? Or just critical care?!
  14. Oh, I did not do an in person so I guess that's why she emailed me! I interviewed via Skype.
  15. I received an email asking me to rank the units I interviewed with. When I responded I got an automatic reply saying Georgia is out of the office for the next few days. So we prob won't hear much til she returns I guess.
