Daisy Award on Badge for New Grad

Hi there, I am about to start a new job where I worked for my senior practicum. To much surprise I was given a Daisy award while I was a student on that floor. It was amazing and generous and I am proud of it but I am wondering if I should display it on my badge right away? I know a couple nurses on the floor know I got one, but I don't want to put off the vibe that I am cocky or entitled -- in fact, that is THE LAST thing I want to exhibit.

Any advice??

Thank you!!

To be honest I never look at the pins on other people's badges so I wouldn't notice if you were wearing one or not. If someone has a lot of time on their hands they might notice and/or care, otherwise....wear it if you want, don't wear it if you don't.

We call it the dandelion award.

The only reason I wouldn't wear it would be the possibility (strong or not) of not seemingly living up to it in my new role. I wouldn't want to stir thoughts of how the heck did she win that as I was stumbling and faltering through learning how to function as a new RN. As in it could I raise unrealistic expectations of my performance.

Me neither, some colleagues have worn them for years and I never noticed until patients asked about them.
