Okay so I officially have 3 days left until the determining day of my life!!!...Tuesday I will be taking the NCLEX examination for the first time!..Up until today I have been doing nothing but questions and reviewing rationales mainly through Kaplan and some on flashcards that I received from my preceptor.
Today I started a little late and did Qtrainer #7 which was 265 questions I finished with 50 minutes left on the clock and a score of 72.45% which I feel pretty good about at this point because I understand the rationales and why I picked the answers I did.
I plan to go over those rationales again and also review other rationales from the other qtrainers and qbank questions that I have done. I have a lot to cram into these next two days because I am going to take Monday off to relax and not stress too much. I plan to get my toes & eyebrows done, watch a movie and get a good nights rest...(but who knows I'll probably still be studying out of habit lol)
I will be updating this as the days go on about what I am doing to get ready for the BIG DAY!!!...
All I ask is to include me in your prayers and I also want to say thank to everyone out there who has given me advice and uplifting words allowing me to feel that much more comfortable about taking the NCLEX!!
Where is the Sample Test focused on prioritizing?? I am freaking out over here cause I realize, looking through that study guide that I haven't reviewed enough about Parkinsons or Myasthenia Gravis. Feeling so overwhelmed
Yes I know I think that we all will feel like there is something out there we lack in but hey i figure have a general idea of the disorder and we should be just fine
Just found it and took it lol! Got 87% so I am feeling much more relieved cause I heard thats a big part of the NCLEX - thank you for pointing that test out! :)I was taking it pretty quickly and going with my gut, so I think that bodes well for the NCLEX if I can keep my nerves in order :) Good luck to all and esp you Dubs2012 - we can do it!
YES WE CAN!!!! I'm ready to tackle this beast even if it takes me 265 questions as long as I don't have to do it again lol you did fantastic on that quiz! Compared to my crummy grade lol lol I just that since I was always the average student in that that's not going to be enough for NCLEX?!?
So I am trying to go through topics to see if there is anything else that I need to brush up on....well...my mind is elsewhere so I am relaxing for the rest of the day! for sure...I will though, like Maria L, go over labs to make sure I have those down pact.
Tomorrow is the determining day of our future!!!! ....Eat healthy, go to bed early, and most of all PRAY!
we got this you guys!!!!
YAAYY!!!
Sending passing thoughts your way! I took mine today and got the "good" pop up. You will be a-okay. I feel Kaplan was well worth the $$ and knew pretty much everything on the test (maybe I just got lucky). My heart was pounding out of my chest at the beginning and at question 75 but just take some cleansing breaths if you get nervous in between. Remember your ABC's and maslow. To be honest I didn't use the decision tree much, but I did always make a topic. Every other question was an alternate format for me after question 5 so just build yourself that bridge and stay on top!
Dubs2012 I have been quietly following your studying journey and getting much inspiration and encouragement from you! Just wanted to add my vote of confidence. It seems like you are totally ready for this! I take mine on Thursday (1/17) and hope that I'm as prepared and confident as you. Good luck. You've got this!!
