Cypress College ADN Spring 2023

I created this thread/forum for Cypress ADN Spring 2022 nursing program since I did not see one.

As for myself, I already applied.

How about you?

Hello! For the people who were alternates for this term? Did you all get accepted? Or did they roll you into the next cohort? I'm trying to see my chances. Thank you so much

I was accepted as an alternate for Fall 2023. However, I was part of their waitlist system at the time. To give you an idea, I waited 2 years on the waitlist to finally get accepted. I think our cohort was the last cohort with people from the waitlist before they removed the waitlist altogether and changed their application system. 

In this case, those of you who applied for Spring 2024, will be the first cohort to go through a 75% ranking system and a 25% lottery system. I am unsure if the alternates will have their own ranking system or if it will be a random draw among them. This is all new, so I wish all the best for anyone on the alternate list. Also, just to be clear. They only accepted 40 people for our cohort. More than likely, they will ensure to only accept 40 students for the next one.

Hi guys, I got accepted to Spring 2024. I just wish to know why we need to have apm with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) at the beginning of the semester. Is that an "interview"? Are there any things that I should know or prepare for? I am an ESL student so I am pretty nervous about things like this. Thanks in advance, guys.

if they said to make an appt w the counselor it probably is just for them to double check your transcript to make sure you're on track

Hey guys I'm applying for fall 2024 and I have 24/30 points. Is that good enough to get into cypress or as an alternative?
