Haven’t seen anyone start a topic on case CRNA program starting Summer 2022! Wanted to start one while we are awaiting interviews.

I reached out to the school and they said that interviews are held either in late August or early September. They did not tell me if the interviews were going to be online or in person. Good luck to everyone who is applying!

I got accepted to the program last year so if anyone has any questions let me know!

They ask a combo of personal and clinical questions. Be able to have a good reason on why you want to go to CRNA school. Other than that I don’t remember the personal questions being insanely difficult. Just Google common personal questions and you should be OK. The clinical aspect is more worrisome. They asked about 5-7 drugs wanting to know the receptors they work on. I had some I didn’t know such as vasopressin and adenosine. Definitely know your pressors and antiarrhythmics! They asked me about how a PE will present vs a shunt. They also asked about blood products (ex. know to give cryo for low fibrinogen). Know what can cause elevated troponin besides heart issues. They asked quite a bit of math. Know how to convert between ml/hr and mcg/min as well as % solutions. Once again Google common CRNA math and you should be able to find some examples. Just some interview tips: interact with students while you are waiting for the interview! I don’t know if it’s in person or not but either way, they are paying attention to how you act! Also, ask questions in the interview and if you don’t know something say that you don’t know and will look it up later. Lastly, always send thank you emails to the interviewers! Basic things but they can set you apart from other people. I interviewed several places and thought it was of average difficulty. Not my hardest and not my easiest. Just stay calm and good luck!

for math is it basic enough to do in your head or are you allowed pen/paper etc. Thanks!
I personally didn't think it was easy enough to do in my head but you might be different! I used pen and paper. I don't know if they allow it but they didn't say I couldn't!

Hello, I had my interview earlier this week. Overall, feeling mixed about how it went. Does anyone know when we’re expecting to hear a decision?

What kind of questions did you get?
