to current SRNA at Quinnipiac and Missouri State U

Published

I would like to know your experience as a SRNA at Quinnipiac program. How are the instructors in the clinicals? Are they respectful? How is the load of didactic portion, is it manageable? and how many students are accepted? The average nursing experience? how was the interview process, what do they ask?

I know it is a lot of questions. But thank you to all those who share their experiences.

Have you heard any news?

Hello,

Congratulations on your interview at Quinnipiac University next month. I would say that I am in the same boat as you in that there is really no information out there regarding the Quinnipiac program, I have resorted to preparing like I would for any other interview. I believe BostonRN had his interview already, I wonder if he'll be willing to drop a word of advise or two. Good luck with your preparation, we'll hopefully meet next month.

Hey, everyone, forgot I had posted this. My interview went really well. I was there for a couple of hours as they talk in length about the program, do a campus tour, and of course conduct interviews. As for the interview itself I was very surprised that it was mostly about getting to know me. PM me if you'd like to know more.

Hey BostonRN1, thanks for sharing. I don't have messaging privileges yet but would like to know more, would you mind reaching me via my gmail email, username: lexiifans. Thank you.

What's your email Mike, I can't send private messages yet.

Quinnipiac's interview was pretty laid back for me. You will interview with the program director and assistant director or the Dean of the Nursing School. They will ask some clinical questions but mostly moral/ethical based questions. If you have an interview with the school, they know you are academically prepared . They're looking more for students who can work well with others especially working with the multiple personalities in the OR. Side note, the program director used to be the director for St.Raphael's CRNA program so you have someone with 30+ years of experience running the program.

BostonRN1,

Can you also give me additional information. Here is my email [email protected].

Thanks for the info TraumaICU23. How soon did they notify you of acceptance? Are you currently in the program?

I would love to hear more, but I have no clue how to send a PM on here

It depends on when you interviewed. They usually give an acceptance the following week or when they're done interviewing prospective students (1st week of December). And, yes I'm currently in the program.
