Any current CHOA RNs? I'm interviewing for the a position at Egleston in a few weeks and wanted to hear what current employees think of working there. I'm hoping it's as amazing as I hear!

Specializes in ER, Pediatric Transplant, PICU.

Hey there!

I have been at Egleston for several years and I can tell you - it's pretty great. CHOA in general is a pretty great company to work for in my opinion. As far as what floor you are on, it just really depends on management as to how good it is, but as a whole the hospital really keeps patient ratios down, and it's always looking for better equipment/processes/up to date practices. I personally love the teaching hospital environment so that's a plus for me. It has the same drama as any other hospital (the floors hate the ER and ICU, people complaining about staffing, blah blah) but generally its not too bad.

Not sure if you have any specifics questions, but hopefully that gives you a general idea of what its like. Good luck on your interview!

I will be graduating in May '16 and CHOA is my top choice. Does anyone have any idea how much new grads make? I will be moving from Virginia and am not familiar with salary ranges in Atlanta. Thanks!

One of my best friends is a nurse at CHOA (Scottish Rite location). She adores her job more than anything outside of her family and God.
