Curious: WHATS WITH THE CLOGS?

Published

Hey guys ive been an ambulance driver for a while and going in and out of all the Chicago facilities i've noticed those clogs/garden shoes on everyone from Doctors to cleaning staff? Just wondered whats up with that? I think they are hideous but i'd probably wear them instead of canvas white shoes anyday.

thanks guys:D:eek::typing

Just a quick note, there are some hospitals considering banning the Croc. Our hospital is considering it based on the holes, the risk for falls and they tend increase static electricity. Have any of you heard of this being true for your facility too? I will be crushed... having searched for 10 years for the perfect shoe I found the Croc and now they may be banned.:cry:

Try out the Specialist croc. It was designed for the health care professional, has no holes, high arch, closed back & is so much more comfortable than regular crocs.

However, I do occasionally get the dreaded croc stop.

I swear by Keens, I love my pair of slip ons and they get alot of positive comments too. I also have several other pair of Keens for other uses. I'll probably get another pair soon, since I have a shoe fetish. :D

Personally, I hate Crocs! My feet, legs, and back ached after wearing them. I will stay with my Nike Shox or my Dankos thank you :)

Like anything else, its all a matter of opinion. Either ya love 'em or ya hate 'em.

To add to the safety part of this thread, I see so many people at my facility wearing clogs but don't have the strap around the back of the foot (the strap can go forward and stay at the front of the shoe or in back and act as an "anchor"). They are always walking out of the shoe, tripping with them, etc. Add to that the holes in the shoe..ewww! Not for me, I'd rather not have bodily fluids or anything else getting in the holes and onto my sock....blech!

yea that bio hazard would be a concern but i went to the store (payless) and tried them on, they were seriously the most comfortable thing i've ever worn. Its more comfortable than walking barefoot. I bout them for $19.99 and will never wear them outside of work but enjoy the time i can.

im sold
