Cuny BCC

Hello! I'm wondering if there are any recently accepted nursing students of cuny bcc? I'm a pre-nursing student recently transferred from Lehman. It is so competitive I felt that maybe I would have a better shot at bcc because of a bad grade © in anatomy and physiology 1? Any insight would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!!

Hey everything is going as well as it could go :) How about you

I'm glad to hear that! Everything is good on this side. I took the TEAS on Saturday and got an 80 which I was both surprised and happy about. Advisement for January is next Monday so I'm gonna see what that's about. Hopefully my grades are good enough to pull me through into the program for January. I'm so excited! Lol.

Yay Congrats I'm sure u are in!!! Yay so excited for you

How's the pharm going

Thank you!!!

Omgggggggg! Pharm! Lol. So I'm taking it with ****** and I don't think he's as bad as people make him out to be, I just think it's the way the department has regulated that class (today I saw a different side of him), but first test I totally failed! All my answers were right but you know how it is, it had to be exactly how they want it. Second test I got 87 so I've got the hang of it now I think. This is the only class that could potentially hold me back tho, all my midterm grades have been A's so far so all the other prerequisites are going good! But I'm working hard!

Btw is it true that we are only allowed to take 2 NUR classes per semester?

Hang in there and doing and redoing the homework will help you breeze through. The nursing department changed their classes so when you start you will take NUR 101 and is composed of 2 sections Fundamentals and Communication... the change is a good thing

Oh I see. Ok. Thanks for the encouragement! I'm def hanging in there, I'm not going to let this class hold me back.

I also wanted to ask you about the dual program they started this semester with Lehman, are you in it? Do they pick who they want or can you apply?

They have not spoken to us about it... do you have any info about it? They briefly mentioned it last semester but nothing was set in stone

No. But I will make sure to ask at advisement on Monday. I'll let you know what I find out. I'm really looking forward to being apart of it!

So I spoke today to one of the creators of the dual program and she said as long as you have a 'b' average after taking NUR 100 and NUR 101 than you just apply. You mentioned you were in your second semester right?

Btw I'm in third round, so if I ever do get in I should be hearing something by the beginning of January. I say if because I was so confident of pharm and I got a 68 on this last exam!
