Hello! I'm wondering if there are any recently accepted nursing students of cuny bcc? I'm a pre-nursing student recently transferred from Lehman. It is so competitive I felt that maybe I would have a better shot at bcc because of a bad grade © in anatomy and physiology 1? Any insight would be appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!!

I am currently in the BCC nursing program. .. so far it's very doable you just have to dedicate your time and read a lot of chapters.
One thing if you got a C in AP 1 that is not passing at BCC you need a minimum grade of a C+ so you would have to retake that class.
Best of luck to you
Thank you for your response! Yes I am currently enrolled to repeat the class for this fall semester. I am aiming for an A of course! The only reason I even got that C was because it was two years ago at a time where I was going through some personal issues and actually stopped going to school the year after that. However I'm worried that my other grades in the pre-reqs (B's) will not be good enough to make the cut for entrance into the program. Unfortunately at this point, private school is not an option for me. Would you happen to know how many people get accepted into the program each semester?
I wouldn't even worry about that... if you have a gpa of 2.5 or higher and you pass the TEAS you will get in... there is no waiting list (I think it's a myth to scare people). Did you take PHD 10 already?
I also take pharm this fall semester as well. I was being advised not to but I'm under time and money constraint and I know I will be able to handle it.
Do you mind telling me your grades for your pre-reqs and TEAS? This is my third Cuny school where I'm trying to even attempt applying for the program. First at BMCC they wouldn't even let me pally because they give apps only to students with all A's.. I transferred to Lehman where I was just scared off because everyone around me seemed to be getting all A's in their pre-reqs and they only admit 50 students once a year. They have made getting in so competitive!
Btw, how far along are you in the program?
My GPA was 3.5 and I scored a 68 on the TEAS. I am starting my second semester (entering Nursing 201)
Good luck with pharm!! It is not hard per say you just have to take your time and listen to whatever they say even if it sounds stupid. Go to tutoring and keep doing the homeworks over and over again.
Ok! Thank You so much for all your help!! You might hear from me from time to time! Hope you don't mind!!
Best of luck to you as well.
Not at all.. nursing school students should stick together. .
I dislike not being able to send messages on this site :/.
But I have a question, do you remember around what time (month) was the deadline for the nursing application? Also the TEAS? Trying to get advisement is proving hard. The last time I was there for "advisement" I was only able to schedule my pharm class, nothing further. Now I'm getting another date to come in which from the phone call sounds like just general advisement. Pleeeease tell me it's not always going to be like this when I need an advisor!! Are they proactive with getting the information out to students?
Haha! You need to know what classes and what are the rules. I find advisors to be clueless. Once you are in the program it gets better. I took the Teas in Nov and I was in the program in January... so it is fairly quick
Why am I just seeing this?? Smh. I think I'm pretty situated now. Now I just cant wait for classes to start!! Haha! Thanks for your response!!
Hey @Jubilee! It's me again!! How is everything going for you?
