I Just recieved an e-mail claiming and/or congratulating me on my acceptance to the 2010 Spring cohort at CSUSM! Any others as of yet? Let me know as I would love to get acquainted with my colleagues.

Just for an email saying that I was conditionally accepted. I m thinking to go or not because I already accepted by one in Idaho

Hi,

I am interested in applying for Spring 2011. Would any of you mind sharing your stats, like gpa/prenursing grades, etc. so I can have an idea of what to expect when applying?

Thank you!

I applied for Spring 2010 in May. Fill the apllication form online, pay the fee, send your transcripts and take the TEAS. Just the standard steps. The problems for CSUSM is that they never let you know your status. Not even an email saying they 've received your application, or something like "your application is under review" Make sure you call them time to time, to make sure they have you in the file. I sent my TEAS score twice, and they asked me to send it again.

Finally I got an email saying I was accepted (6 months after), last night. But, I decided to go to Idaho last month, so someone may take my spot.

Good luck to your application

Congratulations!!

I just got my acceptance letter last Thursday...big relief, I am so excited!!

Hi!

Congrats on being accepted! I just received my acceptance email Thursday, and it completely caught me off guard. I applied on a whim in July, and hadn't heard anything since. I live near Sacramento, so I thought I'd attend CSU Sacramento... but they've just stopped accepting applicants who already have a BA.

So while I'm freaked out that I have to move down south in about a month, I'm grateful that I've gotten accepted into an accelerated program at a time when many schools are cutting back on programs!

J- My cummulative GPA wasn't that great (2.67), but I've been taking pre-req's at community college (and getting A's) so that may have pushed my GPA up to around 2.9. My TEAS score was 86.5%, but apparently they didn't recieve my results, and they still accepted me. So from my experience, it seems that as long as you do well in your pre-reqs, and meet the GPA and TEAS requirements you should be in. Just don't get descouraged if you don't hear anything for 3 months!

By the way, what campus is everyone going to? I was accepted into the Temecula program.

Congrats on being accepted! It must be so exciting! Thanks for the information :) The thing I'm most nervous about is that I might get a B in anatomy, and I don't know how much that would affect my chances since everyone emphasizes the importance of an A in anatomy for nursing school! Thanks for the tips and I will keep that in mind when I apply!

Hey J,

How are the rest of your grades? Because my GPA wasn't very good, I had been making sure to get A's in all of my pre-req's this past year. I applied though with Anatomy, Physiology, Communication and Lifespan all in progress, so those grades didn't really affect me getting in. Overall I think I had a couple B's and maybe even a C in my pre-nursing core. I would really try to get the A, but in the end, I doubt a B will negatively affect your application very much!

Thanks for the info! My UCSD GPA was 3.3, and all the classes I'm taking in Comm college I'm getting an A in, except for anatomy...right now I'm at a B but I'm trying really hard for the A...! Good luck with the program! :)
